While the 2017 XXL Freshman Class was divisive to say the least, Lil Yachty considers himself a fan of every artist involved. Still, that doesn't mean he can't offer the group a dose of constructive criticism.
In an interview with Hypebeast, Yachty goes in depth about his thoughts on the class, citing Ugly God as his favorite member (and brother) before stating "I love XXXTentacion, Playboi Carti and MADEINTYO. I love Kamaiyah, she’s like my big sister. Actually, the whole class is fire." However, Yachty remained unimpressed by their performance at the cypher, saying "I feel like they bullsh*itted their cypher." Despite that, Yachty still applauds the music they're all making.
