The original touched up by Boi-1da, gave Cardi B the warped value of mixing bravado with feelings of longing, like when you're mad at your spouse but you don't have the heart to tear up the photo album.
With that in mind, it's perfectly normal to assume the original was perfectly executed, so why cross that boundary at all. What Knxwledge accomplishes with "Kareful" is surgical removal of all feelings of bravado associated with the original beat. In place of the signature ho-hum, Knxwledge adds a guitar component, while muting the wind instrumentation to the lowest possible decibel. The result is her heart in a more lamentable package.
