Taking a break from dropping videos off his September project, RSS2, Kid Ink has decided to share a stream of a 2014 track entitled "Star Power" that never saw an online release until now. "Star Power" was originally included on the Best Buy deluxe edition of My Own Lane, Ink's debut album on a major label, released in early 2014. The track is produced by Soundz, who received some shine this summer for his extensive production on Jeremih's Late Nights: Europe mixtape.
Ink makes use of a familiar formula on "Star Player," kicking club-ready melodic raps that have a high-energy bounce to them. With a little bit of romance and a smooth synthy production from Soundz, "Star Player" makes for a seductive clubbing experience.
