Jessie Reyez finally unleashes the studio version of "Cotton Candy."

After performing this particular track at her live appearances, Canadian songbird Jessie Reyez has finally come through with an official recording of her "Cotton Candy" track.

"New song in my living room over a year ago," Reyez penned in a tweet. "Messed up over the same heart break where “Figures” came from, A mic, a laptop and loner. This one is called “Cotton Candy."

While Jessie Reyez has been her thing for a handful of years, the past two have definitively marked a shift in her career. It was last year that we received the aforementioned "Figures" single, an honest track that earned the 26-year old a spot on the Canadian Hot 100, peaking at No. 58.

This year marked the arrival of her Kiddo EP, and a series of opportunities in the US market as she's made appearances performing at the BET Awards and on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. All the while, the Toronto-bred Reyez has maintained a brutal honesty in her music, the element that brought her to the forefront in the first place.

Quotable Lyrics:

Still waiting for your call
Aren't you the one that's supposed to pick me up when I fall
Nothing's easy in this world
Baby, believe me
I just hope you see it when you see me
