Things continue to look up for Geoffrey Owens. After the former Cosby Show star was photographed working as a cashier at a Trader Joe’s in New Jersey, the actor went viral on account of “job shaming” and the like despite the photographer’s claim that such a result was not her intention.

Nevertheless, the bounce back was real for Owens with fans and peers rallying to support him and even Nicki Minaj revealing that she’d be donating $25,000 to Owens. Previously, Tyler Perry announced that he’d be giving Owens a role on his Have and Have Nots television series on Oprah’s OWN network, but now, the screenwriter and producer says that Owens will occupy ten episodes of the series.

According to TMZ, Owens will be flying out to Atlanta to begin shooting as soon as next week. There are not yet any details as to what role he’ll be playing, but it’s a refreshing reminder of the positive effects of social media.

“I hope what doesn’t pass is this re-thinking about what it means to work,” he Owens said while speaking on Good Morning America. “A re-evaluation of the idea that some jobs are better than others, because that’s actually not true… Every job is worthwhile and valuable and if we have kind of a re-thinking about that because of what’s happened to me, that would be great.”
