If you're a musician on tour, you're likely going to be visiting the airport quite often. As such, step number one should always be to make sure you have everything you need to actually be let onto the plane when you get there. G-Eazy is someone who should be used to that kind of lifestyle, but everyone makes mistakes, and this time the Bay Area rapper forgot to bring his id with him.
However, unlike us normal folks who get turned away at the gate, the rules don't apply if you're a famous rapper like G-Eazy. Luckily for him, he had recently been featured on the cover of XXL magazine, so he attempted to use that as a piece of additional id.
Halsey, pop star and girlfriend to G-Eazy, was also present for this incident. She was not amused at her boyfriend's attempts to use his clout in order to board his flight.

However, it seems like G-Eazy's plan worked, and he was let through security solely off the strength of a magazine cover. He, of course, took the time to tweet about a slight gloat towards the annoyed Halsey.

The two of them recently starred in a video together for their duet "Him & I", and will be supporting each other on an international tour to promote G-Eazy's 2017 album, The Beautiful & Damned. Hopefully the next time he goes to the airport he'll bring his identification with him, because sooner or later someone else is going to have to cover that magazine.
