Every so often we get an update on the life and times of Frank Ocean from the man himself, as is the case this weekend. This time around, the Grammy award winner speaks his mind from the road, in the midst of his ongoing "You're Not Dead" tour.

In his latest open letter, posted on his Tumblr page, Ocean reveals that he funded the tour on his own, without the help of a label or touring firm. And despite the fact that he's premiered several new songs, he claims the shows aren't being held in support of an album.
