Drake kicked off the year with his latest smash single, "God's Plan." The song is arguably his biggest song to date, following "One Dance" and the video for it has already been deemed one of the best of 2018. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and it doesn't look like it plans on budging anytime soon. The rapper's single sits at number one for the tenth week in a row which has ultimately helped him reach a new record on the Billboard charts.
Billboard reports that Drake's now the first solo lead male artist to have two singles at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 10-weeks with "God's Plan" and "One Dance." The latter held the chart for 10 weeks straight in 2016 and from the looks of it, "God's Plan" might beat that out if it maintains the top position next week. Billboard's previously reported that "God's Plan" is one of the most dominant #1 singles of the past 25 years and clearly it's true.
While Drake's "God's Plan" is still holding it down on the charts, Drake's been locked into the studio heavily. He's already revealed that his next single is produced by Murda Beatz. Earlier today, he also gave an update on his Instagram story. The rapper shared a photo with the caption, "You can see the album hours under my eyes." It looks like we'll likely receive a new project from Drake at sometime this year. Hopefully, his next single drops soon.
