Saturday Donald Trump got his daily Twitter routine in, this time around, he decided to send for CNN, once more declaring that the outlet was a source of fake news, vouching for its competitor FOX News instead.

“@FoxNews is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly,” the commander in chief tweeted out. “The outside world does not see the truth from them!”

Soon enough, however, CNN was armed and ready with quite the clapback. “It's not CNN's job to represent the U.S to the world. That's yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst.”

While it isn't the first time that President Trump has attacked he international outlet, it comes at a bit of an awkward time as the Justice Department recently sued to block a merger between the news channel's parent company Time Warner, and AT&T.

While he did oppose the merger, Trump mentioned that he would not be involved in the proceedings. “I’m not going to get involved in litigation but personally I’ve always felt that was a deal that was not good for the country,” Trump said. “I think your pricing’s going to go up — I don’t think it is a good deal for the country. But I’m not going to get involved, it’s litigation.”
