If you're looking for a celebrity wedding that is sure to wow all who attend in 2018, look no further than hip-hop's most adorable couple, Cardi B and Offset. The Migos rapper proposed to his fiancee while on stage at a Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia at the end of October, a moment that has kicked off this giant wave of anticipation for the impending nuptials. With the engagement ring costing Offset a reported $500,000 alone, the wedding itself is sure to be an incredibly lavish affair. In fact, in a new interview with Vulture, Cardi gave readers some insight as to what she has in mind for her big day and, unsurprisingly, she plans on pulling out all the stops.
In a few words, she let everyone know that, however over-the-top you think her wedding day's going to be, you ain't seen nothing yet. "The world is not ready for it,” she said. “Everybody got to be wearing red. And my bridesmaids are gonna be wearing suits, what’s good.” The color of the outfits is an intriguing choice and may add fuel to a rumor that Cardi was, or maybe is, a member of the Bloods, based chiefly on her love for the color red. For example, think of her “Bodak Yellow” lyrics, such as: “These is red bottoms, these is bloody shoes." Whether there's a coded meaning in there or not remains to be seen.
Elsewhere in the interview, she talks about what she wanted to do immediately after Offset's proposal. “The way I wanted to celebrate was just get real drunk and make love," she admitted. "And we haven’t even had sex after I got my ring!” Surprising as that may be, how the couple first met isn't all that shocking when considering current dating trends. The two of them reportedly had met after Offset sent a DM to a friend of Cardi's, with the simple message of “I want Cardi.” “I told her to tell him I don’t date rappers,” the "Bodak" emcee said. They connected at a party a short while later and the rest, as they say, is history.
