Cardi B recently debuted her W Magazine cover feature that saw her looking like a million bucks. The "I Like It" rapper talked all about her come-up, her daughter, her husband and her feud with Nicki Minaj for her prestigious interview and now reports say Cardi took a tip from Beyonce's playbook when it came to her photoshoot.
“Typically, when stars shoot with these big high-end magazines — like W — they have to use [the magazine’s] team. Cardi insisted on bringing her own glam team, which was amazing because [her team] are guys and girls who normally don’t have a chance to shoot with a magazine like W,” a source told Page Six. If you can remember, for Beyonce's iconic September Vogue issue she took complete control over every aspect of the set, notably the hiring of the first black photographer for the publication.
“When I got pregnant, I was fucking freaking out,” Cardi told the W Magazine. “Everybody around me was like, ‘No, this never happened before. Every artist that had a baby, they already put in years in the game. This is your first year. You’re going to mess it up. How are you going to make it?’ ”
