Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory has been denied an early release from prison due to COVID-19 concerns.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Terry "Southwest T" Flenory, co-founder of Black Mafia Family (BMF), was released from prison early due to COVID-19 concerns. Already, 50 Cent has been helping him fight his battles, calling out a number of rappers who owe him money and giving them a deadline to pay up. It was also reported that Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory, T's brother and one of the most notorious drug kingpins, had also requested his early release. Unfortunately, he got some bad news from the judge.

According to The Detroit News, Big Meech has been denied his early release from prison. He is still set to be released in eleven years.

The 51-year-old Detroit native is currently locked up in a federal prison in Oregon, and a judge has ruled his request for compassionate release premature. A separate request was issued to federal officials about Flenory's health issues and once that is answered, the judge may reconsider.

Flenory says that he should be released because of his age and health problems, which include hypertension and heart trouble. However, prosecutors argue that he should not get the same treatment as his brother.

Big Meech has spent time in solitary confinement and he has illegally owned a cell phone in prison according to court records. Due to his record, prosecutors believe he should remain in prison.

Black Mafia Family was run by Big Meech and Southwest T, who were both sentenced to 30 years in federal prison in 2008.
