A new record from Big Sean's Hall Of Fame album leaked today, and it features Sean's former label mate, Kid Cudi, as well as veteran in the game Nas. Many people have noticed Cudder shouting out G.O.O.D. Music at the end of "First Chain," and Sean Don actually spoke on this in a recent interview with Karen Civil.
The Detroit native explained during his interview how Kid Cudi is still a part of the G.O.O.D. Music family, even if he's not officially signed to the label.
Sean Don said of Cudi's verse, "Kid Cudi did his verse to the song after he left G.O.O.D. Music. And at the end of it, he say, 'G.O.O.D. Music forever, nigga.' And he was like, ‘What? You know what it is.’ Basically, we a fam, you know what I’m sayin’, and sometimes business shit doesn’t work out and things get tangled up, but through it all, we all brothers and we all just trying to push culture forward and make Rap better and quality."
"Just like how MMG adds a certain quality,” he says, “just like Young Money adds a certain quality, G.O.O.D. Music adds a different quality," the rapper added.
During the interview Sean also spoke on his guest spot on his girlfriend Naya Rivera's new single "Sorry." Although it seemed some of Sean's exes mistakenly thought the song was about them, there's only one ex-girl Sean is talking about.
"The only girl who I consider as my girlfriend that was mentioned in that song ["Sorry] is Ashley. And people know I have respect for Ashley, I have a song on my album called "Ashley" that I wrote about Ashley when I was with Ashley," Sean said.
When asked why he left the song on Hall Of Fame even though the two broke up, he replied, "Why would I take the song off now just 'cause I have a new girl? I mean I wrote the song about Ashley and it's a good song, so I'm not gunna change it."
