Nelly's once again in some legal hot water.

While Nelly's rape accuser Monique Greene previously refused to testify against the Country Grammar emcee, she has recently filed a lawsuit claiming sexual assault and defamation. TMZ has a detailed report on these developments, explaining that Greene was originally working as a host at a club where Nelly was performing on Oct 6th, 2017. Apparently, Greene linked up with Nelly and his entourage after the show, after promises that they'd be heading to an after party. They proceeded to drive to Nelly's tour bus, which happened to be stationed in a Wal Mart parking lot. As the story goes, she apparently followed Nelly into his room at the back of his bus, where he proceeded to begin masturbating.

The lawsuit claims that Nelly then forced her into non-consensual sex, during which he reportedly refused to wear a condom. Afterward, Greene screamed to be let off the bus, when an entourage member granted her wish by pushing her off. To add insult to injury, she claims Nelly threw a hundred dollar bill at her and proceeded to taunt her while she called the police. They eventually arrived, interviewed the pair of them, and arrested Nelly for second degree rape.

Now, Greene is also suing for defamation, after she claims that Nelly and his team painted a narrative that she was only chasing "money, fame, and notoriety." TMZ originally reported that Greene refused to testify in the original charges, claiming that she was reluctant to "stand up to a celebrity." And while it seemed like it was over, it appears that Greene is no longer intending to back down, despite Nelly's threats of countersuing. More on this as it develops.
