LaVar spoke it into existence.

Heading into last night's game between the Lakers and Wizards, there was plenty of talk about the Lonzo Ball vs John Wall matchup, thanks to comments made earlier in the week by Ball's father, LaVar. And just as the Big Baller had predicted, Lonzo Ball and the Lakers came out on top against the previously unbeaten Wizards at Staples Center.

The Lakers held Wall, Beal and co. to just 13 points in the fourth quarter which allowed Brandon Ingram to send the game into overtime with this drive to the lane as the fourth quarter came to a close.

In overtime, Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope drained a three off an assist by Lonzo Ball to give LA a one-point lead. A Julius Randle dunk, and a John Wall missed three later and the Lakers had secured a 102-99 win. Ball finished with just six points but added 10 assists and eight rebounds, as the Lakers handed the Wiz their first loss of the season.

Afterward, John Wall praised Lonzo's abilities (H/T ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk).

"He's a quiet kid who doesn't say too much. He's been dealing with it [his father's outspoken comments] his whole life. It doesn't bother him. It's just new to everybody else. He's very mature for his age. He can pass, can score the ball—he just wasn't making shots tonight. We both wanted to play better."

LaVar simply said, "I told you so. I've seen this story before."
