Seattle Seahawks defensive back Jeremy Lane was reportedly arrested early Sunday morning outside of Seattle for driving under the influence according to several reports.
Lane, 27, was booked into jail at 5:30 a.m. local time but was released about four hours later on his own recognizance.
According to ESPN, Lane was heading eastbound on Interstate 90 on or near Mercer Island when he was pulled over, but other details, such as his blood-alcohol content, were not immediately available. The Seahawks have not yet issued a statement regarding the arrest.
Lane was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Northwestern State University in Louisiana and he has spent each of his six seasons with the team, although the team tried to trade him to the Texans this season. He was traded to Houston for left tackle Duane Brown but returned after he failed a physical.
UPDATE:
Lane tweeted, and later deleted, "A fail is a 0.08 right? I blew 0.03 ... "Why was still arrest? I'll leave it at that."
