Former Penn State running back, and one of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft, Saquon Barkley has officially inked an endorsement deal with Nike. Barkley is the first prospect out the 2018 class to sign on with a brand, though the details of his Nike deal have not yet been announced.
Barkley revealed the news over the weekend via social media, as he joins Nike's exhausting list of superstar athletes, which includes some 2017 NFL rookie standouts such as DeShaun Watson, Dalvin Cook and Christian McCaffery.
The 21-year old running back is widely regarded as the most talented at his position in the upcoming draft and is expected to be a Top-10 pick, possibly within the Top-5. Barkley, who has already signed with Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports, rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his three seasons with the Nittany Lions, and had 18 rushing touchdowns in each of his last two seasons.
