Listen to one of the early standouts off Wale's new "Self Promotion" EP called "Salary Kaep."

Wale had been hinting throughout Monday evening that he had something in stored for us at midnight. In fact, the news was spilled during the airing of Monday night’s WWE RAW, when announcer Corey Graves accidentally revealed that Wale had a new EP dropping tonight. “Wale just dropped an album called Self Promotion or he's about to later tonight, and its all about doing whats best for you.” the WWE announcer said live on air Monday night, and it turns out he was right. At midnight, Wale surprised fans with another 4-song EP called Self Promotion.

Looking to highlight one of the early standouts, other than “Negotiations,” here goes the song “Salary Kaep,” which as you can tell by the spelling is inspired by “former” NFL QB Colin Kaepernick. With an opening message from Kaepernick, Wale shows off his rapid fire flow & slick wordplay, while rapping unapologetically about being pro black & addressing social injustices & racism in America in the process.

Take a listen to the powerful new heater and let us know what you think. If you're looking for Wale's next Summer radio hit, check out "Body Body Body" freestyle right here for that.

Quotable Lyrics:

Khaled nigga We The Best
Call Goodell we need to speak and shit
Rap a piece about that CTE
and give Kaep-ernick a new team to check
Right now cause
Shit gettin’ deep for us right now
They killin' our seeds boy right now
So we gonna take a knee 'fore he pipe down
