By now, we've no doubt had our fill of the "Who Run It" challenge. For those who have somehow avoided all offerings, the tradition was kicked off when G Herbo dropped some fire over the classic Three 6 Mafia instrumental; from that point on, younger listeners began dubbing the hard-hitting beat a "G Herbo" remix. Equal parts endearing and sad, really. In any case, Dope Boy Troy has thrown his hat in the race, delivering a laid back take to the popular trend.
Admittedly, it's not the most pointed rendition we've heard thus far, as Troy seems to opt for a low-key delivery. His understated vibe doesn't quite jive with the frantic and energetic beat, but his lyricism is solid, especially if you've been riding with him since day one. The whole track has a bit of a low-key feel to it, and the DIY production gives the mix a sense of rugged charm. Check this one out, primarily if you consider yourself a "Who Run It" completionist.
