Did Dame Dash really leave Harvey Weinstein feeling "maaaaaaad?"

Cam'Ron has returned to plant his flag in the game, having dropped an excellent mixtape called The Program, as well as a new Dipset single "Once Upon A Time." And while the single finds both Jim Jones and Cam'ron in fine form, navigating Heatmakerz Production like it's 2004, Cam's closing lines have set the internet abuzz. No disrespecting the ladies, word from my team," raps Cam. "That’s the reason Dame smacked Harvey Weinstein,  on the set of Paid in Full, y’all gave him hell about it, some foul sh*t happened once Capo tell ’em ’bout it." Damn. Cam's allusion to an incident that may or may not have occurred during the production of Paid In Full, which was distributed by Miramax, Harvey Weinstein's former company.

It's certainly an interesting thought, and one wonders if Cam is speaking truth or merely exaggerating. However, in October, Dame Dash sat down for an interview with Hip Hop Motivation, in which they discussed Harvey Weinstein at length:

"I know that [Harvey] and I had d a lot of aggressive interaction. And I know even culturally, like, my people would say things, like, I would see interviews with Wood Harris and with Just Blaze and all that, and they’d be like, ‘Oh he yelled at Harvey Weinstein. He yelled at the Weinsteins.’ But the bottom line is, like, when I look at somebody treat other people wrong, I can’t just look the other way. And any opportunity I get, I know I’m strong, but I’m always gonna make them suffer for the people that aren’t strong enough.”

While Dame Dash never overtly admits to any sort of physical violence against the most disgraced man in Hollywood, he does go in depth about his experience dealing with Weinstein, and the culture clash that seemingly fueled the animosity. In short, Dame was having none of Harvey Weinstein's machismo bullying. It's a great watch, so if you want to find out more, check the video below. In the mean time, stay tuned for all things Cam'Ron, including any news on a Dipset reunion.
