Russ had a great 2017 and at this point, it's safe to say that he's about to embark on yet another successful year in his career. The rapper dropped off his album There's Really A Wolf last year and since then, he hasn't slowed down one bit. The rapper connected with the legendary Scott Storch and consecutively released three of their collaborations within a span of days, one of which included guitar from John Mayer. This year, he's dropped off several records and it feels like he might have something special up his sleeve on the horizon. Today, he drops off his latest single, "Since I Was Broke."

Russ comes through with his piano-heavy single, "Since I Was Broke." The latest single finds Russ speaks on the importance of having faith in yourself in order to reach your goals. "I was saying I was rich since I was broke (yeah, yeah)/ It's a state of mind, you gotta know (yeah, yeah)" he sings on the hook. It's another solid record from Russ that was inevitably self-produced by the rapper himself.

"Since I Was Broke" follows the release of his collaboration with Joey Bada$$ and IDK on "Lil Arrogant."

Quotable Lyrics
That's ain't a Nissan, that's a McLaren
That wait I told myself, that's how I got it
I realized the thoughts in my mind were directly connected to what's in my pocket
It's in your head, money will come, as soon as you feel like you already have it
