Machete's Danny Trejo has also joined the cast.

Rick Ross has been cast in the upcoming Mike Epps-starring comedy The House Next Door. The film is a sequel to the 2016 comedy-horror film Meet The Blacks, which also starred Epps and was a parody of the 2013 horror hit The Purge. Ross has signed on alongside Machete's Danny Trejo, though there are no details on the character he will portray. Katt Williams will also join the cast, while Bresha Webb, Zulay Henao, Andrew Bachelor, Lil Duval, Michael Blackson and Tyrin Turner will return.

According to Deadline, the film "centers on overstressed Carl Black (Epps) who, after surviving a night of terror and becoming a best-selling author, moves his family back to his childhood home where he hopes to work on a new book. But when his quirky neighborhood becomes host to a mysteriously extravagant pimp (Williams), Carl’s work is interrupted as his cousin becomes convinced the new neighbor is a vampire and is trying to steal Carl’s entire family away."

The movie is currently being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.

Earlier this year, Ross announced plans for a movie starring himself and Gucci Mane. "Me and Guwop gonna film our first movie," Ross he V103 Live. "We doin' that independently. We gonna begin that in the next 3 months. That's coming, that's official. They gonna see us swerving." The two proved their onscreen chemistry in the "Buy Back The Block" video, which featured an extensive skit of the two rappers playing car wash employees. In a more recent interview with Page Six, he hinted that the skit could inspire the opening of the film. "I am getting ready to shoot a film. I got two different flicks that I am ready to make a move on,” Ross said. “Me and Gucci Mane got a flick that we wrote together....All I can say is at the beginning of the film, I am at the car wash and it will go from there.”

Ross has previously appeared in Days of Wrath, Ride Along 2, and the TV series Magic City.
