The late singer will have a presence at the event in his hometown of Minneapolis, says TMZ.

Justin Timberlake's 2018 Super Bowl Half Time Show will feature a hologram to honor Prince, reports TMZ. The event takes place in Prince's hometown of Minneapolis, 11 years after the late singer delivered an unforgettable performance at the Halftime Show in Miami, and nearly two years after the legendary songwriter's death of an accidental overdose. Details on the hologram were not provided by the source.

According to the report, rumored guests including Justin's former boy band N*SYNC, and Janet Jackson, who Timberlake has received criticism for letting take the fall for the Nipplegate controversy at the 2004 Super Bowl, will not make appearances.

Earlier this week, Timberlake spoke of Prince's influence at a press conference. “In my opinion, the greatest all-around musician in popular culture,” he said. “The time I got to spend around him, with him, talking about music. Those are memories that I’ll take with me forever.”

A short clip taken at the rehearsals for Timberlake's Halftime Show reveals performances of "Can't Stop The Feeling" and "Cry Me A River," as well as a whole lot of fireworks.

Timberlake released his 5th studio album Man Of The Woods on Friday. The LP features production from Justin's past collaborators The Neptunes, Timbaland and Danja, as well as guest appearances from Alicia Keys and Chris Stapleton. It has been met with mixed reviews.

Super Bowl LII, which finds the New England Patriots facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles, takes place Sunday at 6:30 EST.
