French Montana chops it up about his love for making hit records, working with Diddy & Rozay on his debut album "Excuse My French" and more.

French Montana has finally announced the release date for his much-delayed debut album, Excuse My French. French has promised that his Bad Boy debut will be the "album of the decade," and it sounds like he's focused on making hit after hit.

French recently spoke to Fuse about the LP and what's lined up next for him. French appears to be in hit-making mode, with his first single the huge collaboration and club banger "Pop That," and his follow-up utilizing the same equation of big features and hard beat-- "Marble Floors." We'll have to see if his next single, "Freaks," is in a similar vein of his previous club-ready records. The Moroccan-born rapper will also be grinding to bring us plenty of visuals in the near future, including one for his "Freaks" single with Nicki Minaj.

French spoke on his affinity for making hits, "I come from like, a mixtape circuit, we have like thirteen mixtapes. We done put in so much music for the streets. I just feel like, now I've got to the point where, I just wanna make hits. People wanna hit, just me by myself, I got a thousand songs out there." He said, before explaining "Pop That," "'Pop That,' me and Drake was on tour at the time, so while we on tour we felt like we needed a record to perform together...it just made sense. It worked out in a good way, it wasn't about looking for people, it just worked out on a friendship tip."

French is also lucky enough to work with Diddy as well as Rick Ross on his Bad Boy album, the latter of which he made sure to include in his label deal. "Puff and Rozay got a special relationship. They like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in the game. The chemistry they got...when I was coming up, Rozay helped me out, so I always remembered that. So when I got my deal, I worked it out where I got Rozay and Puff involved. I'm from New York, Puff from New York, and Rozay my brother, so I wanted to make that marriage work." French added, "As far as creativity, it's all me. I know music, I do music outta love, I don't do it as a job."

The New York native also spoke on a fan-favorite off his Mac & Cheese 3 mixtape, "Everybody was talking about the Ochocinco situation, and I took it and put it to a song, and people in the club now [say] 'Ocho Cinco!' So we took it from something negative to something positive."

Finally, he revealed which visual projects he has in the pipe-line. "We shootin a video, me and Nicki Minaj. I'm shootin a video with The Weeknd in about two or three weeks. "Ocho Cinco" we shot a video last week. We just movin'."
