HNHH PREMIERE - Marty Sherwood & Lil Baby link up for "Day In My Hood."

It's hard to deny that one of the most enduring qualities of trap music is the unfiltered sense of authenticity behind it. When you hear an artist like 300's Sherwood Marty, you know he's not about spinning lies and tall tales. Today, we're pleased to premiere the latest banger from Marty and Lil Baby, the soulful trap banger "Day In My Hood." Thematically, the track deals with hood life, and while plenty of negative misconceptions have been thrown around, rappers like Marty can't help but feel a deep-seeded connection.

"The collab with Baby happened naturally," explains Sherwood. "We both street dudes, so it made sense. A lot of rappers ain't really living what they rapping about. I ain't got no reason to lie in music, the people know the truth, you can feel it."

Quotable Lyrics

They try to tell me don't come to the hood,
I'm thinking why not?
How the fuck I'ma stay away from the hood
When it's all I got?
