After too long a break, King Los has made a triumphant return to music this year. This weekend, he released G.O.A.T. Tape, his first full-length since 2015, in which he takes on a number of recognizable instrumentals and raps his ass off over them.
There are quite a few highlights, but the one-minute "Lemon" freestyle is special because it features another voice we've heard far too little from over the last couple of years: Lola Monroe. Of course, Lola and Los have a child together, and together are certainly one of the most ferocious rapping couples out. That much is clear on "Lemon," which is comprised of two quick verses, but many syllables from the two emcees, who do not sound the least bit rusty. Earlier this year, Los promised big things in the near future, and from the sounds of it, Lola might have something up her sleeve as well.
