Last month, Kodak Black was arrested and accused of cocaine possession, evidence tampering, and more.

At the beginning of December, Kodak Black was arrested after being found asleep behind the wheel of his Bentley. Police reportedly noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle at the time, and later decided to conduct a search. They found white powder in the car, which they alleged was cocaine. It was later confirmed to be oxycodone.

“The cop says crack cocaine, and it turned out to be oxycodone. I don’t know how an error like that happens," Kodak's lawyer Bradford Cohen writes. "I’ve never seen in my career of 27 years where an officer tested an oxycodone pill, and it came back positive for cocaine. This officer was either grossly neglectful, incompetent or a liar. It’s one of those three." Reportedly, Cohen plans to file a motion for the arresting officer to be investigated. The rapper was out on bail at the time of his recent arrest. He remains in custody at the Miami Federal Detention Center for the time being.

When he's finally released, however, Kodak might be put right back behind bars. During a hearing today, Judge Barbara Duffy demanded that once out of federal custody, he go back to jail until his trial. A hearing to revoke his supervised release is currently scheduled for January 22. “After speaking with one of the defense attorneys [Tuesday] morning, prosecutors will review any documentation the defense wants to send over,” Broward State Attorney’s Office spokesperson Paula McMahon told the Miami Herald.
