Tensions have been rising in the world of Dancehall music this winter, as two of the hottest female artists out right now, Jada Kingdom and Stefflon Don, trade shots at each other in their new releases. The former has been in the public eye more than ever recently due to her budding romance with Pardison Fontaine, which comes following his split from Megan Thee Stallion. On top of critics bashing the "Backin' It Up" hitmaker for dating a woman who so closely resembles his ex after dissing her in 2023, Kingdom is also dealing with the attack from Don on "#DeadGyalWalking" ahead of New Music Friday.
On her new arrival, the British performer insinuates that her contemporary isn't worthy of being someone's baby mother. "Yuh is a dead gyal walking mi nuh beat round bush wah buck yo pan di main and show di world how mi brawling," Don confidently spits over the beat. "Jada yuh a trater yuh a di biggest embarrassment to Jamaica… Twinkle you're a likkle star yuh nuh ready yet fi the bad gyal war," she continues, directly dropping Kingdom's name so there's no confusion about who the message is meant for.

Sean Paul Calls for an End to the Drama
As the beef between the women makes rounds on social media, one of Dancehall's best-known names, Sean Paul, is joining the chat. "Woman nuh fi talk so @stefflondon @jadakingdom. Live better my sisters, DOE FOLLOW DI WASTE DEM," he wrote in a post on his feed on Wednesday (January 10) morning. "I DOE LOVE THIS NOT ONE TALL. WOMAN SHOULD [BE] WARRIORS, YES, BUT 4 A CAUSE," Paul added in his caption. "[YOU] SHOULD LEAVE THE WAY MORALLY 4 THE FAM. MEN GET HEATED. [YOU] CALM US DOWN.
