Freddie shares his first new music since "You Only Live 2wice."

In March, Freddie Gibbs released You Only Live 2wice, his first project since being acquitted of sexual assault charges he faced in Austria. Since the release of the project, he's remained relatively quiet, though there have been hints of a sequel to Pinata, the rapper's celebrated collaborative album with Madlib. In the meantime, Freddie has shared a new track that pairs him with Parisian producer FEYNMAN, released through the record label of his FAKE MUSIC collective. The meditative, atmospheric, is not far in tone from much of You Only Live 2wice, pairing sample-based sounds with ethereal synth washes.

In April, Freddie spoke to Complex of what he has coming up next. "I got a lot of stuff recorded, man, so I don’t even know if there’s a need to get back in the studio," he said. "Y’all pretty much know that I’m about to drop the bomb with this Madlib shit. That’s rumored, you know what I mean, allegedly I’m about to drop that—when Otis is ready then I’m gonna drop that. Other than that I’m just chillin’ right now, I’m enjoying life, I’m enjoying my freedom. I’m not taking a day of that for granted no more." He also addressed the current state of rap, which he sees some of himself in. "All I know is what I do, I’m the best at what I do. And I definitely got some sons," he said. "I’m proud of that. I see their albums come out and I be like, 'Hell yeah, that’s dope.'"

Stream You Only Live 2wice, which features production from Kaytranada, BADBADNOTGOOD, Speakerbomb, and Aaron Bow, here. Stay tuned for more information on Pinata 2 to arrive soon.

Quotable Lyrics:
Took the seats out the SS
I ripped it out
Put my shit on Xzibit
I pimped it out
Turn your bitch to a gymnast
She flippin' now
Freddie Kane, neck and wrist
Got that drippy drop
