On June 16th Big Boi dropped his album Boomiverse. Before the project was released, he shared the track "In The South" that features Gucci Mane and Pimp C.
Now four months later, Big Boi is still trying to show some love for his album by sharing some visuals for the track. The animated video sees the three rappers driving heavy in a cartoon world, with Pimp C behind the wheel, Big Boi in the passenger seat and Gucci Mane seated in the back. Even though the video is stencilled out, we still see some ladies dancing to the beat switching up coloured outfits of choice.
One part of the video sees a man in a studio shaking his heading and with "W.A.C.K. Radio" titled in the back. It's the same part of the track where Big Boi comes in rapping, "Even though the radio refused to give us airplay Bump this shit in your Cadillac, your Cutlass or box Che-vy, hea-vy."
Big Boi's partner in musical crime, Andre 300, recently spoke some blush-worthy words about him saying he's been the "leader" of their highly successful career.
"Big Boi is smart as fuck. We went to the same high school. I dropped out in 11th grade. Big Boi graduated with honors," Andre said. "When you watch early Outkast videos, Big Boi’s the leader. He always had the confidence, where I was kind of like the shy one. Big Boi can rap better than me—I always said that. If somebody said, “Pick who you want from OutKast to go to battle with you,” it wouldn’t be me. ’Cause like, what I’ma do? Say some mind shit? You can’t have thoughts in a battle—nobody gives a shit about that."
