Listen to new single from Overdoz. and Miguel called "Backstage."

Fans have been patiently waiting for the release of Overdoz.’s debut album 2008 for a few years now. In fact back in 2015, the West Coast crew consisting of friends (Kent, Cream, P and Joon) informed us in an exclusive interview that the album was finished at the time. "Our album is called 2008, overall it's done. It's called 2008 'cause that was the general time we all decided to be Overdoz. Basically it's just music to describe that time and describe us. You get to know us,” they said.

At the time, they also revealed that Pharrell, Organized Noize, Terrace Martin, and Hit-Boy were some of the guys responsible for the album’s production, but again this going back some years. So who knows if that’s still the case, but at the very least it finally seems like we might be getting the long awaited album after all. Last week, the crew released the official video for their “District” record, and now today they’re back with a follow up single called “Backstage” featuring R&B singer & fellow LA native Miguel.

Rather than hitting us with some slow tempo R&B ballad, Overdoz. deliver an upbeat, alternative-rock inspired record that finds Miguel keeping things sultry & sexy while crooning to a pretty girl “backstage.” This isn’t your stereotypical Miguel feature, but that doesn't mean fans wont appreciate it.

Available on iTunes, take a listen to the rock-infused single & let us know what you think! 2008 expected to drop next Friday, October 27th. Stay tuned.

Quotable Lyrics:

Just a pretty girl backstage
Do what you gotta do to get next to me
A Pretty girl backstage
Do what you gotta do to get next to me

- Miguel
