The Yonkers rapper got himself a gorgeous watch.

Jadakiss turned 48 on May 27. The Yonkers-born rapper built an underground following in the early 90s before gaining prominence and recognition as a member of The Lox. He went solo in the early 2000s, beginning with his 2001 album, Kiss The Game Goodbye. The album peaked at #5 but his 2004 follow-up, Kiss Of Death, went all the way to #1. Jadakiss had two other albums reach the top five. His most recent album, 2020's Ignatius, peaked at #35.

Jadakiss has been a veteran presence in the rap scene for many years. Furthermore, he is well known for his strong sense of humor and electricity personality. However, he also a man of taste and luxury. This was put on full display in a recent Instagram post when Jadakiss showed off the birthday present he had gotten for himself.

Jadakiss Shows Off Patek Phillipe

In a June 7 Instagram post, Jadakiss showed off his new timepiece. "Nah mean, little birthday gift to myself for taking another trip around the galaxy,” Jadakiss said in the video. “Courtesy of my brother, the water man! The Mazza water. We did something a little different this time. You know I’m a watch man. It gotta come in a box. That’s the 5990 steel. The blue face. Make sure you got your paperwork so you don’t have to go through none of the bullshit. Everything real. Haha! Happy birthday to me," the rapper said as he unboxed the watch. According to the paperwork seen in the video, the watch is a Nautilus 5590/1A-011. Per Patek Phillippe's website, the starting retail price for the model is $68,600.

It's a gorgeous watch and made even more so by other, less successful watch reveals in recent weeks. Last weekend, LaMelo Ball showed off his new Cartier, which he had utterly ruined. The watch was completely encrusted and looked a little like a sea mine, with a lot of random spikes and nodes. While Ball was viciously roasted, I don't think that Jadakiss will be having the same problem. Follow all the latest streetwear news here at HotNewHipHop.
