One of the best shoes to ever come out of Nike, would have to be the Nike Cortez. Although, it should be noted that this is far from the most popular shoe from the brand. Overall, the Cortez is a shoe that mostly got a lot of wear out on the West Coast. However, it was a staple Forrest Gump as the titular character always wore a pair of white, blue, and red Cortez. At the end of the day, this shoe is an underappreciated classic. Its simplicity is what it has going for it, and for the most part, fans still love these.
Unfortunately, Nike hasn't done that much with the shoe over the years. Although they did have a recent collab with CLOT, this shoe has mostly just been very quiet. That said, when new colorways do make their way to the market, they end up making a considerable amount of noise. This is a very clean color scheme that is going to be perfect for the spring and summer months. If you are a fan of the Nike Cortez and you like the history of Michael Jordan, you will appreciate these. Firstly, we have a mostly white leather upper that extends all throughout the shoe. Secondly, we have a nice UNC blue Nike swoosh that creates a very nice contrast. Lastly, the midsole here has a creamy color to it as there is a strip of powder blue.
For now, a release date for this shoe remains unknown. However, if you want to grab these, you will be able to do so for a price of $100 USD.
