Generation Now expects Lil Uzi Vert and Jack Harlow to be two of the next Big 3.

Lil Uzi Vert and Jack Harlow are going to be two of rap's future big 3, according to their label, Generation Now. The Rap Caviar Podcast with Brandon Jinx did an interview with the co-founders of Generation Now. Lake, DJ Drama, and Don Cannon believe that there is going to be another big 3 in hip-hop in the future, and they think that they have two of them. In fact, Lake thinks they have all three. However, he does not give any hints as to who he is thinking of for the last one.

The Big 3 is a reference to the top hip-hop artists of the 2010s, Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar. These three were leading the pack in terms of music style, as well as just good songs. They were praised by both fans and general media for being able to make things that are good to dance to, as well as having strong lyrics to listen back to at your own pace.

Lake gives explanations for the other two, though. "When we look up, in a few minutes, Uzi will be around for 10 years, quietly. Quietly, you know. Quietly, Uzi will be here for 10 years. And as you can see he's ever-evolving and pushing the boundaries with the sound each time so he has potential." When Lake says that Uzi will be around quietly, he is talking about how they do not release music as often as some other artists, but when they do drop something, it is usually a banger of a piece. For Harlow, Lake does not say anything beyond that he has potential.

When Jinx asked them why they signed those two up, Don Cannon explained that it was because they could actually rap. DJ Drama added that lyricism is the most important part of hip-hop. Lake added that Lil Uzi Vert could freestyle for 10 minutes straight if he wanted to, and Harlow can literally rap his butt off. Being able to rap means that they have a strong base that they can grow out of. The rapping is what makes people stay. The backing can be amazing, but if the lyricism is terrible, then most people are not going to stay and listen to other works.
