Right in time for the day of love, Fetty Wap releases his new romantic single "Tonight." From the sensual lyrics to the smooth vibes, this tune is ready to bring anyone's Valentine's Day to life. Despite being under flames with the federal court, Fetty's drop is passionate and upbeat. Overall, "Tonight" provides hot insight into the flames of a new love encounter.
Fetty's classic approach to quick and choppy words carried by his punchy trap flare is still apparent, but he adds a new twist. Whereas his previous songs carry a lighthearted undertone in execution, "Tonight" exudes a raw message, perhaps to a real-life lover. While this tune is still catchy and bright, it's a rather vulnerable route for the 31-year-old rapper. Fetty passionately sings in the chorus: "Girl, show me why you bad, I'm here, let's make it last, yeah, baby." Of course, he still has thrown in his iconic "yeah, baby."

'Tonight' is Fetty's first drop since "Sweet Yamz." This humorous take on Masego and Devin Morrison's "Yamz" went viral on Tik Tok. Fetty also made a feature last month on Rayven Justice's "Off Top Off Rip (Remix)", also featuring Mozzy. In "Tonight," Fetty takes on a more serious approach to his usually playful lyrics, and insinuates genuine admiration of the woman he's interested in. The tune is produced by StoopKid, FrankGotThePack, Motif Alumni, Jean Bleu, the latter of whom has also collaborated with names like Drake, J.Cole, and Dreamville.
Unfortunately, Fetty is currently facing up to five years of prison time on drug charges, which may delay him from dropping more hits.
