"Jason," the Swizz Beatz-produced lead single off Jadakiss' November album Top 5 Dead or Alive, had a throwback sound, but damn if it wasn't one of the hardest New York tracks of 2015. After contributing to a couple of excellent joints on The Life of Pablo, Swizz has now brought back the "Jason" instrumental and handed it over to Bronx legend KRS-One.
The Boogie Down emcee drops off an overtly political burst of fury that lasts for just a minute -- but long enough to leave a stirring impression. KRS-One just had to tackle this monster instrumental, and it would be a lot of fun if a few more of New York's elite vets decided to do the same.
