The story of how “Truss Mii” got made is a classic case of cross-pollination in the music industry. Brandun DeShay originally produced it for Cousin Stizz, but ended up keeping the beat for himself. A few months later DeShay linked up with Starrah, who wrote “Be Real” by Dej Loaf & “Needed Me” by Rihanna) to write lyrics for the instrumental.
