On "Freeverse," a fine bit of beatsmithery from Manchester's finest Dr. G sets the stage for the two rap legends Canibus and Kool G Rap to go to work. Kool G spits a solid verse but Canibus takes the cake, partly because he totally hogs the mic.
Canibus's glory days are likely behind him but here he submits a vintage performance, with some next-level rhyme schemes and absurdly aggressive alliteration. Who knows if he'll ever live down his infamous notepad rap battle incident from a couple years ago but the bottom line is: the dude's still go it.
