Trinidad James recruits Problem and Friend for "Morning Wood".

While there was plenty of great hip hop released throughout 2014, it wasn't a very good year for the industry. Rap sales were the lowest we've seen them in years, and a few rappers lost their major label deals, including Azealia Banks, Chief Keef, and Trinidad James. The good news is that all three of those artists are likely better off without the deal, and each has released a good amount of material since breaking out of the binds of their contracts.

Today, James has dropped a brand new project called The WAKE Up EP, which gives us an idea of the more experimental direction he'll be taking his career as a free agent. One of the early highlights from the project is "Morning Wood", a collaboration with Problem and Friend.

Quotable Lyrics:
Whoa, whoa, whoa
Your body movin' slow
Oh, molly don't come down
'Til dough covers the ground
