On 4/20, Jetpack Jones and Brock Berrigan shared their joint mixtape, Shades Of Mary. Now, the pair have unveiled a B-side from the project, "Maxxin," that also features Robby Ra$hu.
In keeping with Shades Of Mary's generally retro feel, "Maxxin" is driven by a funky rock sample that includes guitar, drums and horns. It almost has the feel of hip-hop recorded with a full live band, a la The Roots.
"Maxxin" is accompanied by a music video that's composed of footage from various anime films, as well as a clip of Samuel L. Jackson from "Pulp Fiction." Watch it below.
