Influential producer Mike Dean is not shy about his opinions, recently remarking to no one in particular that rappers who are “lacking” often put out diss tracks before an album release. His penchant for pulling no punches applies to everything he does, including his new clothing collection. One of the shirts prominently features Donald Trump’s much-maligned “grab ‘em by the pussy” remarks that were released during election season and subsequently turned into a track by Mike Dean.
Vibe attended the release party for the clothes, and asked him few questions about his choices for the clothing line. He called out the shark shirt in particular as important to him, because his “girlfriend made the artwork behind the “Shark Shirt,” for which all the proceeds are donated to Oceans Unite to keep sharks from getting killed from finning.” Turns out Dean is an animal rights activist too.
