Last week, Jarren Benton dropped Slow Motion Vol. 1. The EP marks his first official release since June 2013. Jarren is now one of Funk Volume's leading emcees, and the EP includes features from fellow labelmates such as Hopsin and Jon Connor.
"Diamonds & Fur" covers Jarren's struggle to the top, in which his single-minded focus often left others in a world of pain. The "coon hat" has long been Jarren's staple, but now he can afford to drape his whole figure in fur. And diamonds too.
