Earlier this week, Wiz Khalifa shared "Promises," a track that showcased his softer, more melodic side. Now we've got a low-key, fittingly slo-mo video for the Blacc Hollywood joint.
In it, Wiz wears the white, slightly '60s-esque shades he's been favoring as of late, shoots hoops with his boys (perhaps "dem boyz"?), and stunts in a pimped out Jeep Wrangler with a fly lady.
The R&B track is backed by a synth that sounds like whale songs, multi-tracked, auto-tuned Wiz vocals and a fairly no-frills beat. When compared with the aggro maximalism of "We Dem Boyz," "Promises" is a breath of fresh air.
