Everything that appeared in last week's top ten is gone today, ousted by a new crop of big-ticket songs from a surprisingly small circle of artists. Of the fifteen that appear this week, only five aren't from Atlanta or Toronto. Only four of these ten new tracks don't feature an artist who appears more than once this week.
The leaders of the pack are (unsurprisingly) Drake and (somewhat more surprisingly) Offset, who with one solo feature and two Migos appearances ties Drake's total of three. Behind them are PartyNextDoor, Metro Boomin, Quavo, and Offset with two apiece. New tracks barely missing out on spots this week include Vince Staples and Kendrick Lamar's "Yeah Right" (#12), The-Dream and Fabolous' "Summer Body" (#14), A$AP Ferg's "Tango" (#15), and Young Thug, Snoop Dogg and Lil Durk's "Get High" (#18).
10. DJ Khaled Feat. Future, Migos, 21 Savage & T.I. - Iced Out My Arms
On an album full of star-studded cuts, "Iced Out My Arms" has the biggest array of talent outside of "I'm The One." The ATL posse cut was clearly underwhelming though, as its 66% user rating is definitely not what you'd expect to see from a track with such a guest list. "Iced Out My Arms" debuts at #10.
9. PartyNextDoor - Trouble
Last week Stevie J dropped a compilation tape entitled Appreciation 9, and with four of its tracks making the cut in our top ten this week, it's the single project with the most songs in the top ten in one week this year. First up is a loosie from PND, which at 77% approval has a lowish rating for your average top ten song, but is about average among Appreciation 9 songs this week. It debuts at #9.
8. Migos - Do You Love Me
A second consecutive Appreciation 9 cut, Migos' "Do You Love Me" is tied with Khaled and Co.'s "Iced Out My Arms" and Drake's "Signs" for the lowest rating on the list this week at 66%. It debuts at #8.
7. Gucci Mane Feat. Chris Brown - Tone It Down
Gucci Mane took a brief break from releasing projects between The Return of East Atlanta Santa and DropTopWop, but less than three weeks after the release of the latter, he's already back with a new single. "Tone It Down" follows up "Party," a single from last December that had Breezy and GuWop swapping roles. It debuts at #7.
6. Tory Lanez Feat. Dave East - Loud Pack
"Loud Pack" is the track on this week's list by the artists from the furthest outside the mainstream, but it's also the one with the highest user rating. Tory and Dave rack up a 93%, just beating Metro Boomin, Drake, and Offset by three percent. "Loud Pack" debuts at #6.
5. Meek Mill - Who The Fuq Is Stevie J?
The only track on Appreciation 9 that sounds like it was actually recorded for the comp is this Meek Mill freestyle, aptly titled "Who The Fuq Is Stevie J?" For anyone who's been missing Meek straight spitting over high-octane trap production, this one's for you. It debuts at #5.
4. PartyNextDoor Feat. Drake - Freak In You (Remix)
A new Drake song all the way down at #3? That only mean a few things: 1) more Drake songs came out this week 2) maybe even a new Lil Wayne song 3) Drake's probably not the lead artist. His remix of PND's "Freak In You" debuts at #4.
3. Lil Wayne - YFS
Since the producer Streetrunner began leaking outtakes from Tha Carter III sessions last year, Lil Wayne loosies and leaks have become more commonplace. The latest, "YFS," is also the highest rated entry from Appreciation 9 on our list, garnering an 84%. It debuts at #3.
2. Metro Boomin Feat. Drake & Offset - No Complaints
The only thing competing with "Ice Out My Arms" in terms of star power is "No Complaints," the first track from Metro Boomin as a lead artist that we've heard in quite a while. Nabbing a 90% user rating, this bodes well for his upcoming project Boominati. "No Complaints" debuts at #2.
1. Drake - Signs
Brand collaborations are never as exciting as new music that's not tied to outside corporate interests, but hey, a new solo Drake track is a new solo Drake track. People enjoyed his features this week way more so than they enjoyed "Signs," but way more people clicked on "Signs" than his features. The track debuts at #1.
