Chicago PD says multiple people have reported similar "bump and run" car thefts.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White reportedly had his Maserati stolen during an elaborate "bump and run" theft.

According to NBC 5 in Chicago, White's girlfriend Roksana was driving the white Maserati at around 6:30pm Thursday night in Chicago when she was rear ended at a stop sign. She got out of the car to check for damage and that's when two men jumped inside and took off.

This is reportedly a growing trend in Chicago, as several others in numerous parts of the city over the last month have reported instances in which thieves use “bumper tapping” to steal vehicles.

White will be entering his third season in the NFL, he has only played in four games for the Bears thus far due to injuries in his first two seasons.
