"Grown Ass Kid" got cut from "Coloring Book" for sample clearance issues, but it's still going to be officially released.

Chance the Rapper's "Grown Ass Kid" feat. Mick Jenkins and Alex Wiley was left on the cutting room floor of Coloring Book due to sample clearance issues. There's still cause for hope: Cam O'bi, who co-produced the track with Nascent, has assured Twitter followers that the track will be officially released on his own album.

"S/o to yall who reposted the leaked version of Grown Ass Kid the song to youtube after I had it blocked lol be patient the album is coming," he wrote Thursday night. "And the real version of Grown Ass Kid the song will be on there. Don't be thirsty now."

O'bi has produced for artists like Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, and Lil Wayne but is best-known for his work with Chicago's talented crop of young artists, including Chance, Mick Jenkins, Saba, Rockie Fresh, and Vic Mensa. He produced or co-produced three tracks on Acid Rap ("Good Ass Intro," "Cocoa Butter Kisses," "Good Ass Outro") and one on Coloring Book ("Blessings #2").

Stay tuned for more info about O'bi's album.
