Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his jail cell early this morning from an apparent suicide.
According to reports, the 27-year old former Patriots tight end used a bed sheet to hang himself and was discovered by corrections officers around 3:00am.
Per CNN,
"Mr. Hernandez was in a single cell in a general population housing. Mr. Hernandez hanged himself utilizing a bed sheet that he attached to his cell window. Mr. Hernandez also attempted to block his door from the inside by jamming the door with various items."
Hernandez was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. His suicide comes just days after he was acquitted of a 2012 double-murder.
