The Joakim Noah experiment in New York was a complete and utter failure from the jump but it got even more embarrassing last week when the 32-year old center got suspended for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.

Noah, who signed a ridiculous four-year $72 million deal last off-season with the Knicks, tested positive for a PED and suspended 20 games/

According to Brian Mahoney of the AP, Joakim was pretty upfront about using the banned substance to help him recover from an injured knee.

“This was a tough moment, but I’m going to learn from it. I tried to take a supplement to help me with everything I’ve gone through. I’ve gone through a lot of injuries, and I tried to take something to help me and it backfired.”

”I wanted to do something to help myself, help my body and like I said it backfired on me. I tried to take the right measures when I was taking the supplements and it wasn’t enough.”

Noah was already going to miss the rest of the Knicks' season due the injury but now he'll also be out for the first 10 games of next season as well.

''It's a tough lesson to learn, but everything in life has its purpose,'' Noah said. ''I know that right now it's a tough situation to be in not being there with my teammates out there on the court. But I'm going to take this suspension like a man and move on.''
