President Trump Declines Invite To Throw First Pitch On Opening Day For Nationals

Due to schedule conflict, Trump turns down Nats' offer.

The Washington Nationals extended an invite to President Donald Trump to throw out the first pitch on Monday for Opening Day but Trump reportedly declined due to a scheduling conflict, according to ESPN.

Presidents throwing out the first pitch at Nationals Park on Opening Day has become a bit of a tradition including most recently George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

The Nationals will play host to the Miami Marlins at 1:05 pm EST on April 3rd with Stephen Strasburg on the mound. Interestingly enough, Trump has been critical of the way the Nats have handled Strasburg's innings restriction.
