"I just don't see how it doesn't happen."

The rumored Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor mega-fight has been inching closer and closer to becoming a reality, as Floyd recently declared he was coming out of retirement just to fight the UFC champ.

Throughout the months and months of back and forth between Mayweather and McGregor, UFC's Dana White has held firm on his stance that this is all hype and that the fight would never happen.

However, on last night's taping of "Conan," White finally switched his position and said because there's so much money involved, he does think it's going to happen.

Per ESPN,

"I do think it's going to happen," White said. "I think it's going to be a tough deal, because, obviously, there are a lot of egos involved in this deal and a lot of people, so that always make it tougher.

"[But] on the flip side, there's so much money involved, I just don't see how it doesn't happen."

He added,

"A lot of things make this fight intriguing," White said. "Conor McGregor is huge. He's in the prime of his career. Floyd is 40. Floyd has always had problems with southpaws; Conor is a southpaw, and Conor hits hard. When he hits people, they go. Floyd is definitely not knocking him out. That's for sure.

"I'm not saying Conor would win this boxing match, but it sure makes it interesting."

White shot down rumors that the fight could be taking place on June 10th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas due to the fact that McGregor is taking some time off before the birth of his first child in May, but it's encouraging to see he's on board with this much anticipated dream fight.
